Living with other people is always an adventure. Understand that I do really like the girls I'm living with this year, but, as always, there are just some lifestyle differences that you work around and/or laugh off. This semester, we've had a bit of a bug infestation in our kitchen, which persists despite ant and roach traps AND a thorough extermination by Facilities. And then this:
Me: There is a pot of food on the kitchen windowsill (like, outside). Are we TRYING to attract every sort of animal in the city??
Britt: Yes. We picked into an infestation-themed suite. LIGHT IT ON FIRE WHO IS SO INCOMPREHENSIBLY RETARDED!
Time for another suite meeting, I think.
I have an idea...
ReplyDeleteyou could strategically "plant" books on things like pest control and epidemiology around the suite. When the targeted persons come across these books and then suddenly become more concerned about halting the infestations, it will also have the added bonus of making them think it was all their idea.
Well I think we're all in agreement about the undesirability of infestation, but the person in question just doesn't seem to be making the connection between unsanitary habits and pest control. So we need more of a book on Things That Make Bugs etc Come, but that seems to me to be such a basic life skill.... Also seeing as this particular suitemate has successfully ignored the nice note I posted a couple weeks ago reminding people to pay me back $10 for our cleaning supplies, I think she's got pretty good selective reading skills.
ReplyDelete...And hey! you are keeping up with this blog more than I thought!
